The De Soto Chamber of Commerce Offices will have limited hours the week of August 4th.  Office hours are from 2 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Monday, August 4th - Thursday, August 7th and will be closed on Friday.

Car and Bike Show
Location: Miller Park "A" Field

Time: Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.; Show from 8:00 a.m. - Noon; Judging begins at 1:00 p.m.

Cost: For car entries - $10 per car, FREE admission for spectators

Attention car show registrants:  Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. at the "A" Field in Miller Park at the green tent for all cars and bikes.  Bikes will be parked on 83rd Street and cars will be parked on the baseball fields.   Door prizes and drawings for those registered in the show. 

 

Parade information for Bikes and Cars:  THERE IS NO FEE FOR THE PARADE but you MUST register. If you would like to be in the parade, please be at the Baptist church between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Again, there is no charge to drive in the parade.  For those wanting to enter in both the parade and the car show, the parade will end at A field for the cars. De Soto Days Parade

Time: 10:00 a.m.

Location: Downtown De Soto,  83rd Street  and Penner Avenue

Registration and line up starts at 8:30 a.m. at De Soto High School and will depart at 9:45 a.m.  Download a Parade Entry Form here.

 

Old-Time Trolley Tour of De Soto

Time: All day until 4:00 p.m.

On Saturday, take an old-time trolley to tour De Soto!  The trolley will operate until 4:00 p.m.  the trolleys will load/unload at the city park gazebo area and will be taking town tours.  The De Soto Museum at Abbott Hall will be open to visit.

 

Kid's Parade - sponsored by Pizza Hut
Location: 2 blocks of Main Street and back

Time: 9:30 a.m.

Make plans now to participate in the All Kids Parade.  Meet at the corner of 83rd and Peoria St. by 9:30 a.m.  No registration needed.  Decorate yourselves and your bikes!  Kids Parade will walk from Peoria Street to Shawnee Street . **Please - No pets or motorized vehicles in kids parade. Parade is for 5th Graders and under.**

 

De Soto Days Parade
Location: Main Street

Time: Following the Kids Parade.  Parade should be downtown by 10:00 a.m. (leaving High School at 9:45 a.m.)

 

Children's Balloon Artist
Location: Miller Park

Time: Following the parade for 2 hours.

 

Craft and Commercial Booths
Location: Miller Park - B Field

Time: Around 11:00 a.m.

Visit over 30 booths with all kinds of unique items!

 

VFW Bingo
Location: Miller Park

Time: All Day after parade

It's back by popular demand!  The VFW will again have B-I-N-G-O at the De Soto Days Festival!
