From the Pastor's Pen...

a Water Mystery - Recently on a Saturday evening our fellowship area in the basement was flooded with water.  The following men - Carter Beck, Larry Gulley, Danny Lane, Doug Opdycke, Rick Stricker and Darrell Zimmerman, spent several hours using their wet vacs to take care of the water.  Fans, especially a large industrial fan brought by Mike Bosworth, took care of the drying process and no damage was sustained to the carpet.  The mystery however is, where did the water come from? The men could not find the cause, neither could Darrell Zimmerman on further inspection, nor could the city water department.  We even had a plumber come and look for the cause but he could not find where the water had come from.  It still remains a mystery! We can only hope it does not happen again.

I share this with you because it reminds me of a mysterious truth.  Just as those men could not explain the presence of the water in the basement, they knew it was there.  Likewise we cannot explain the presence of God in our lives, however, we can know beyond a doubt that He is present.  If you are not sure of His presence in your life and the assurance of salvation which He gives, then read the short letter of I John in the New Testament.

May God Bless you with His presence,

Richard
